Intensive Technical and Lab Course

Large Scale Photonic Integration. Part 1: Design and Fabrication

Ghent, Belgium 2-3 April 2020 - postponed to a later date

Workshop overview

This two-day workshop will cover the use of the IPKISS design software developed by Luceda Photonics and our Luceda partners will provide introductions to the software at the workshop.

Using the software, Early Stage Researchers will design wavelength filters in an SOI photonic chip. These chips will then be fabricated for the researchers before the Characterization Workshop in June 2020, when the participants will come back to Ghent to post-process the chips and fabricate heaters on them. The chips can then be characterized in our measurement lab to complete a full design cycle.

A detailed programme of the workshop will be published shortly. The event is likely to start at 9.00-9.30am.

The registration fee of €200 per participant will include lunches and coffee during the workshop and will cover a group-dinner as well. Unfortunately, paying with a credit/debit card is not possible. The organisers will send you an invoice, once you have completed the registration form.

Fees do not include travel and accommodation costs.

Registration is currently suspended due to the Coronavirus outbreak
